STORMR is a Norse-inspired adventure apparel brand, built for the UK. This policy explains what we collect on this site, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We keep this simple, because what we collect is simple.

Who we are

STORMR is the data controller for the information described in this policy. [Registered company name and address — add once your legal entity is set up.] For any question about your data, email support@wearstormr.com.

What we collect

This is a coming-soon site. There is no shop yet, so we don't collect payment or shipping details. Today, we collect two things:

  • Your email address, if you submit it through a signup form on this site.
  • Anonymous, aggregate analytics about how the site is used.

We don't collect anything beyond this.

Why we collect it

We use your email address to send marketing emails about STORMR product drops and brand updates. We only do this if you actively tick the checkbox next to the signup form. It is never pre-ticked. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Marketing emails may include standard open and click tracking, common to most email platforms, so we can see whether they're useful. We don't use this to build an advertising profile of you or track you elsewhere.

We use website analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, so we can improve it. Our analytics provider doesn't use cookies and doesn't build a profile of you. Where it briefly processes technical data like your IP address to count unique visits, it doesn't store it. Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interest — understanding overall site usage, in a way that doesn't override your rights.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors to run this site. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the processors below.

  • Resend — sends our marketing emails and stores signup email addresses in a Resend "Audience" list. Resend is based in the US.
  • Plausible Analytics — provides our website analytics. Plausible is cookieless and does not track you across other sites. Plausible is based in Estonia, in the EU.
  • Vercel — hosts this website. Vercel is based in the US.

International transfers

Because Resend and Vercel are US companies, your data may be processed outside the UK and EEA. Where this happens, these providers rely on their own standard safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.

Cookies

We don't show a cookie banner, because we don't set any cookies that require consent. We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't use Google Analytics. Plausible, the only analytics tool we use, is cookieless by design.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. You can do either through the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting support@wearstormr.com. Aggregate analytics data doesn't identify you, so we keep it in that anonymised form indefinitely to track trends over time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct it, if it's inaccurate.
  • Ask us to erase it, sometimes called the right to be forgotten.
  • Restrict how we process it.
  • Object to our processing of it.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@wearstormr.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a concern, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as STORMR's data practices change. Any changes will be posted on this page.
